Following the release and the eventual commercial success of the first edition Ram 1500 built to serve trucks built in honor of serving U.S armed forces and veterans, Ram has launched the second edition in honor of our first responders. The new built to serve ram trucks set to be released in three phases will have each one specially designed and built to honor the firefighters, police, and emergency responders, respectively.
Production for the new special edition Ram trucks started in February 2022 and will be available in Ram dealerships in the spring of 2022, including Hill-Kelly Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram dealership near Pace, FL, beginning with the firefighter edition.
Apart from consistent features across the lineup, features like the American flag and a built to serve decal across the rear quarter panel, each first responder-inspired edition has different unique features adapted from their core duties. Other features consistent with the built-to-serve edition lineup include an instrument panel badge, optional lockable console storage, a deeply bolstered performance cloth with vinyl sport seat, a black onyx chrome interior, and an All-weather rubber slush mats.
Remarkable off-road capabilities are delivered by a complete set of all-terrain tires, an electronic-locking rear axle, hill descent control, tow hooks, and a heavy-duty off-road-calibrated front and rear shock absorbers special, and special skid plates for the steering gear, front suspension, fuel tank, and the transfer case.
The firefighter edition features two distinct exterior colors of Redline and Diamond black and a black interior fitted with orange accent stitching. The other edition also features exterior paint and interior fittings consistent with the duties and utilities of the police and emergency responders. All are available in all body styles and powertrains of the 2022 Ram 1500 Big Horn model.
