2012 Jeep Patriot

The 2012 Jeep Patriot offers minimal changes from its 2011 redesign. It comes in three trim levels: Sport, Latitude and the top-end Limited. The Limited replaces the 2011 Latitude X trim.

Each trim is available in front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The front-wheel drive Sport and Latitude trims feature a 158-horsepower, 2-litre, four-cylinder engine, with an optional 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine. The other four trims come with the 172-horsepower, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine.

A five-speed manual transmission and two-speed continuously variable transmission

Front head room of 41 inches and rear head room of 40 inches is standard on all models, as is a luggage capacity of 32 cubic feet. The maximum cargo space on the Sport is 54.2 cubic feet; the Latitude and Limited feature 62.7 cubic feet of cargo space.

Standard safety features on the 2012 Jeep Patriot include antilock brakes, stability control, side-impact airbags for all occupants, front-impact airbags for the driver and front passenger seats, driver and front-passenger seat belts that automatically tighten during a collision and head restraints to help prevent whiplash injury due to a rear-end collision. The Patriot is also equipped with an ignition disabling device that prevents the ignition from starting if the original manufacturerâ?™s key is not used. Rear-safety child door locks are standard on all models.

Convenience features on all three models include cruise control, rear defogger, rear washer/wiper, split-folding rear seat and 12-volt power outlet.

Additional features found in the Limited model include leather upholstery, automatic climate control, a six-disc CD/DVD player, a six-way power driver's seat with lumbar adjustment and satellite radio.

An optional convenience feature on the Latitude and Limited is a remote vehicle starting system. Delay-off headlights and headlight washer capability are standard on the Limited and optional on the Latitude. Blue tooth compatibility is optional on all models.
